Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of kezni.com and the KEZNI services, including Teze, Canon and Koto (the “Services”), provided by KEZNI (“KEZNI”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Services
KEZNI provides AI-assisted tools for authors and creators, such as translating and polishing manuscripts, creating comics and video from stories, and producing ebooks. Some features are in preview and may change, be limited or be removed as we develop the Services.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 14 years old to use the Services. If you are a minor where you live, you need the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One person may not create multiple accounts to obtain sign-up credits or avoid limits.
- You can delete your account at any time.
3. Credits, payments and refunds
- Tasks in the Services use credits. The number of credits a task uses is shown before or while you run it, and depends on the task, the model and options you choose.
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
- Subscription credits are added each billing period and expire at the end of that period; they do not roll over.
- Purchased top-up credits are valid for 180 days from purchase.
- Bonus or promotional credits expire on the date shown when they are given.
- When you run a task, subscription credits are used first, then the credits that expire soonest.
- If a task fails, or is refused by an AI provider, the credits for that task are returned to your balance.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds are handled by Paddle under its Buyer Terms and applicable consumer law. Any right to cancel or withdraw that the law gives you in your country continues to apply.
- We may change prices or credit costs. Changes to subscription prices take effect from your next billing period, and we will notify you in advance.
4. Your content
- You keep all rights you have in the manuscripts, images and other material you upload (“Your Content”).
- You give KEZNI a limited licence to host, copy, process and transmit Your Content only as needed to provide the Services to you, including sending it to AI providers to run your tasks. This licence ends when you delete Your Content, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain for a short time in backups.
- You confirm that you own Your Content or have permission to use it this way. For example, translate or adapt a work only if you hold the rights, it is in the public domain in your country, or the rights holder has agreed.
- If Your Content shows a real person (for example, a photo used as a character reference), you confirm that you have that person’s permission.
5. AI-generated results
- As between you and KEZNI, you own the results generated for you in the Services (“Outputs”), to the extent the law allows, subject to these Terms and the terms of the AI provider that produced them.
- AI can make mistakes. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or similar to content created for others. Review Outputs before you publish or rely on them. Translations in particular should be checked by you.
- Copyright protection for AI-generated material differs by country and is not guaranteed.
- We do not use Your Content or Outputs to train AI models, and we do not publish them unless you choose to share them, for example on Koto.
6. Acceptable use
KEZNI is made for creative work, and we do not restrict the lawful stories you choose to tell. You must not use the Services to:
- create or share sexual content involving minors, or any content that is illegal where you or we are located;
- create sexual or intimate images of real people, or depict real people in a way that harms them, without their consent;
- infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights, or remove rights notices;
- harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate others;
- attack, overload, reverse-engineer or bypass the security or limits of the Services, or access them by automated means we have not allowed;
- resell or share access to the Services, or use them to build a competing service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
7. Third-party AI providers
Many features rely on models from third-party AI providers. Model names are shown so you can choose; they are trademarks of their owners, who do not endorse KEZNI. Providers may refuse requests under their own policies, change their models, or stop offering them, and we may then change or remove the related features. Refused tasks are not charged.
8. Changes, suspension and termination
- We may change, suspend or stop parts of the Services. For significant changes that reduce a paid feature, we will give reasonable notice.
- We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Services or other users. Where possible, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
- If we stop the Services entirely, we will give you advance notice and time to download your work, and refunds will follow Paddle’s terms and applicable law.
9. Disclaimers
Except as stated in these Terms and to the extent the law allows, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, KEZNI is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. This does not limit liability for our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Korea, but if you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer-protection laws and courts of the country where you live.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for significant changes, notify you at least seven days before they take effect (or thirty days if the change is unfavourable to you). If you do not agree, you may stop using the Services and delete your account.
